1sts unlucky not to win against top side Jefke,2nds beat league leaders Sticky

With only 4 of our 8 teams playing this weekend the stansdout game was the 1sts against Jefke. After the previuus week's win against Portugal we looked to beat another of the leading sides Jefke. On a very cold day at Nossegem the players warmed the hearts of the supporters with a fine display. In the 1st half it was more or less honours even but in the 2nd half we were very much in the ascendancy with at least 5 good chances to score but it ended 0 0. A very good performance which augurs well for the remaining games

2nds were playing top of the table Coin du Balai and in an excellent display achieved a great result with a 1 0 victory. Thomas P the scorer.

3rds and 4ths had no games and Vets 2 also did not play as the referee deemed the 2nd pitch at Nossegem unplayable.

Vets 1 were playing unbeaten Jefke and could not compete losing by 5 goals to nil.

Ladies 1 had no fixture.

Ladies 2 played on Friday night and got a  great win to follow up last week's victory. We were down 2-0, went 2-1 with 20 minutes to go and scored the third winning goal right at the end  !!

1sts get great victory over Portugal to dent their title hopes (10/3/18) Sticky

1sts beat Portugal by 2 goals to 1 with Nick bagging both in a tremendous win, After the debacle against Brussels British 2 weeks ago  this win against another of the top teams has got us back on track. It was an ill tempered affair with some unpleasant incidents both on and off the field.

2nds lost 1 0 against Forestois with the opposition scoring with their only real chance.

3rds,leaders of their division ,turned up for their away fixture against Etoile but found that the referee considered the pitch not in order and we will now have to wait to see if the match will be replayed at a later date or we will receive a 5 0 forfeit.

4ths continued their good form with an emphatic 3 0 win against Elan Evere. This has pulled us further away from the relegation scrap and was a much neded win. It was a solid performance. Opposition played with 10 the whole game and struggled to create opportunities. 3-0 at half time after 2 from Juan and 1 from Mario (and a beautiful shot from Tom that almost made goal of the season...he forced me to write that). Second goal from Juan was splendid after a great 1-2-3-4 between him and Ibo and a cold finish. 2nd half was more on the management side and the game ended 4 minutes early because the ref decided the rain was cold.

Vets 1 were up against one of the top teams Forestois and although they competed early on they were eventually overwhelmed losing by 9 2. We had actually come back twice to equalise but they then were awarded 2 dodgy pens but in the end to be fair it didn't matter much.

Vets 2 lost 3 2 against Elan Evere in a match dominated by 1 of the opposition's players who scored a brilliant goal and made the 2 others. Apparently we discoveredt that this was his debut and he had played at Provincial 1 level recently. We could have done better though and gained at least a point. Scorers : Antonio and Luuk

Ladies 1 and Ladies 2 both won their games to round off the day on a winning note.

1sts lose heavily against Brussels British,4ths gain vital win (24/2/18) Sticky

1sts were second best as they lost 5 0 against Brussels British. Worse news from the match was that Sean Plaice had to be taken to  hospital with a suspected broken wrist. We were 1 0 down at half time and still well in the game but after further errors it went from bad to worse. Bad day at the office.

2nds lost 2-1 to Pharma. On a cold and windy afternoon we were beaten by good opposition. Due to a couple of concentration mistakes we conceded two goals and only the last 20 minutes we were dangerous scoring with 7 minutes to the end. Unfortunately the last play of the game was headed to the crossbar and we could not make the equaliser.

3rds bring a good point from Breu, very difficult game to play as thé pitch was awful and there was à lot of wind. Thé opposition played long balls that got complicated for our defense and got à Lucky goal from à deflection. We managed to come back from à corner where Johnny got à great header that hit thé bar and Rodrigo got thé rebound and put it in with style. Bad news was that Johnny had to go to hospital after suffering a shoulder injury.

Close match in thé end and under these conditions it was great to have our MOTM François making some great saves. Few matches to go and motivation is still on. We have 4 games left and are still 3 points ahead of Sicula !!Vamooos

4th won!! 3-1 against Ixelles City in a game we could/should have dominated more on the score board. Opponents in a very bad shape and out of breath after 20 minutes. 1-0 after Ibo scored a penalty. 1-1 eventually came in with our focus going down. But our fitness and will to succeed was too strong. 2-1 in another from Juan, and then 3-1 on the long awaited Costi’s first goal this season. It feels insanely good!

Vets 1,with many players missing went down 5-1 to Metrasport.

Vets2 avenged their loss to Brussels British in the home  game at Nossegem by beating them 3 0.Terry(2) and Oscar with the goals.

Ladies 1 were drawing 0-0 at half time in their match against Chastre in what had been a disappointing performance. Coaches were not happy and the half time team talk must have done the trick as they produced a much better 2nd half display scoring soon after the break and followed it up with another after 15 minutes. Well in control they added a third just before the end to run out 3-0 winners. Isa,Rossa and Virg with the goals.

Ladies 2 played the very good league leaders of the division WS Woluwe C and could not compete with them losing by 10 goals to nil.

3 wins and 3 losses at Nossegem,Ladies 1 win and stay top of P1 (17/02/18) Sticky

1sts were playing old foes Ambiance Auderghem and took the lead when Sigve, back up front for the day, hooked in from a cross. We were well on top but there were no further goals and it was 1-0 at half time. In the 2nd half we had many chances to increase our lead while they mounted very few attacks. With the score still at 1 0 and 5 minues left Nick broke through and squared it to Sigve who looked to have an easy tap in for number 2 but somehow it didn't go in. Should probably have won 4 or 5 -0 but it was nevertheless a very good performance with all players putting in a good shift. Final score 1-0. MOTM Tim for a very energetic performance in midfield.

2nds emerged with a narrow 8-0 win at Nossegem on Saturday after ESA mistakenly thought they could grind out an away win with just nine lads on the pitch.
Euan broke the deadlock with a well-measured direct free kick and Irlande saw the game out cautiously from there on in, only running in another five before half time.
Euan turned provider for the second, putting Sean through to score; Dastan found Clement with a far-post cross for the third; Sean nodded in a Mat Neelen corner for four; Thomas Peeters embarrassed the goalie at his near post for five; and Dastan steered home from close range for six before half time.
A very sporting truce followed half time and no more goals were scored - until Sean fairly contested a through ball with a keeper who emerged completely unscathed. ESA got a little flustered and Irlande added two in quick succession before full time.
Irlande march on. ESA, meanwhile, might want to rethink their 'show-up-with-9' approach, after this marginal 8-0 defeat.
PS. Motm = Dastan

3rds won 3-0,  Ionutx2 Marius... A good opposition but when you see Youssef on time and good weather in belgium...  The first half was à symphony of collective football with 3 nice goals and a lot of talent from Ionut...  The second one more in control and football,  nice moves but no goals... Motm Rafa...  I don't know if opposition played with a midfield when you saw à match from Rafa... Vamos. Good news when our main rivals for the title Sicula could only draw leaving us 5 points clear.

4ths were up against Trinacria, one of the top teams. and despite being strengthened with some players from higher teams still went down 1-0. A tough battle to stay up lies ahead with few games remaining.

Vets1 were in a feisty encounter with managed by a mature ref. Conceded when Paul was bundled into his own net by 3 attackers. Emmet then got two questionable yellows. They got a nice goal, 0-2 ht & it stayed that way. Could have got something on a different day.

Vets 2 were up against the leaders Copains Reunis and did well to hold them until well into the 2nd half. They scored 2 in quick succession and probably could have added more.

Ladies 1 beat Fem WS Woluwe 2 0 at Stade Fallon . Both goals were scored early in the 1st half by Celine and Virginie. We then controlled the game with very few risks and Clara ,our keeper did well when called upon. With Jodoigne only drawing yesterday we are now 4 points clear at the top......

Ladies 2 play on Sunday morning
