1sts lose top of the table battle 2nds and 3rds win again to stay top of their divisions (4/11/2017) Sticky

1sts lost 1 0 to local rivals Brussels British in a tight game at Nossegem. We started brightly and could have gone ahead with a good chance but it was the opposition who struck first early in the 2nd half to take the lead. A game of not many chances ended disappointingly when we couldn't find a breakthrough . We didn't play badly overall but it was a loss that meant Brussels British go back to the top of the table 2 points ahead of us. Thin margins. Still a long way to go in the season.

2nds ,despite a lot of missing players, won 1 0 against Pharma who were near the bottom of the table.  We made hard work of it against a fairly weak opposing team who could not deal with our passing on the ground. Sean poked the ball in just before half time and a strong defensive performance ensured that the boys in green went home with the three points despite a flurry of missed chances late on. Still top of the league by 3 points.
Goal : Sean with an « assist » from Captain Hadrien. Booked : Danny. MOM : Thomas “the wall” Earl.

3rds won 3-1 to stay top of Div 4.. Solid performance from the team. Villu put us 1-0 up in the first half. Sergiu and Ionut sealed the points in the second half. We were in control most of the game just a small lapse in the last 5-10 mins gave them a lifeline but we closed out the match well. Villu MOTM. Let's hope we keep the momentum after the short break.. After today's results we are 2 points clear at the top !!

4ths battled well and got a point out of this important game! 1-1 with Lorenzo scoring the first goal for us in 4 games. We were dominated most of the game but the boys in green had some fight in them. Showed great spirit to defend and could even have won if more lucky (or cold blooded).

Vets 1,missing a lot of players, lost 5 0 against Metrasport who are a good team. We were still in it at half time at only 1 0 down but they scored 4 in the 2nd half to win comfortably.

Vets 2 lost 1 0 against Brussels British. In the 1st half we dominated and had a number of chances but couldn't quite get the final touch. It was a similar story in the 2nd half but although we had chances with Luuk's narrow miss from a cross by Oscar being the closest our dominance didn't result in any goals. Opposition who only had 10 players went down to 9 when one of their players had to go off and then the unthinkable happened when they broke away and scored what proved to be the winner. Very disappointing.

The Ladies 2 lost 3-1 against the top of the league. First half was really difficult but we won the second half thanks to the fighting spirit of each girl and this gave us our goal of honour against a really good team.

Ladies 1 lose their unbeaten record (Friday night 03/11) Sticky

Ladies 1 lost 4-3 in a very good game away against Chastres who proved to be tough opposition. It was our first defeat of the season. We were 1 0 down but came back strongly to take the lead. Opposition then scored 3 goals in a row with a bit of  luck and we were up against it at 4 2 down but we came back again to make it 4 -3 but that's how it finished. It just wasn't our night.

Weekend results Sticky

Big news update 4 (four) out of our 8 (eight) teams are top of the league! TOP OF THE LEAGUE :-)
Unfortunately the leagues only finish in 6 months time.

Here are the updates:

Ladies 1 got the weekend started with a 0-9 cup win away On Friday night. Unfortunately the game had to be stopped after 20 minutes as the opposition were only 7.
You can only beat your opposition on the day, that's Ladies 1 into the hat for the next round.

They play Chastres in the league next week in a game that promises to be a lot more intense #crossingfingers

First up Saturday were the 1sts, who got 3 more points bagged after winning 2-3 away to Choule in Auderghem. They went 1-0 down but equalised just before half time through Karim. Cillian and Alvaro then made it 1-3. Choule scorred to keep up the pressure with 10 minutes to go. But the first stayed strong and added 3 more points to the board. Next week Brussels British :-).

The seconds almost pulled another trick out of their magic bag coming back from 3-1 down to 3-3 with 5 minutes to go in colourful Enghien. Unfortunately a last minute Enghien winner sealed the deal after we missed a great opportunity to steal all 3 points. Mario got a brace and Dastan scored too. This is the seconds first defeat in 2017, an amazing effort.

The 3rds won 0-6, yes that's zero to six! A great performance on a crappy pitch gave them the 3 deserved points.
The goals came from Stefan , Piet and both Ionut and AJ got two each! Say Whaaaaaa.

Fourths lost 0-1, not much info on this one. They deserved a point is all we know at this stage.

Vets 1 played very well biut lost again. Concur and Alex got on the scoresheet. This was not enough though as they conceeded 5.
They also finished the game with 10 men as Greg got sent off.

We've only the result from the Vets 2 game, they lost 1-3, more info soon!

Ladies 2 had no game this weekend.

2nds and Ladies 1 put in great performances to stay top of their divisions (21/10/2017) Sticky

2nds won 2-5 to stay top of the table. First half we were leading 1-0 after Sean's cross was deflected in for an own goal. Neil put us  2-0  up. However we were pulled back following a swiftly taken free kick and from another corner. 2-2 with 10 minutes to go.  The boys in green then showed why they are top of the league when they scored three to make it 2-5 at the end. Another great performance  !!

Goals : 2 OG's, Gab,Neil and Rado

Assists : Sean (2),Rado,Jake,Gab

1sts lost disappointingly by 3-0 to Ambiance. We started slowly and were punished when we conceded after 5 minutes. We then started to dominate and created a number of good chances but couldn't get on the score sheet and at the break it was 1-0 to them. 2nd half we continued to pressure but it was the opposition who scored again to make it an uphill task. A few minutes from the end they scored a 3rd and that's how it finished. MOTM for the 3rd week running was Nair.

3rds won 3-1 to continue their great run...  Rafa,  Rodrigo and Ionut.  Hard match with a lot of technicals errors,  but a nice spirit in the second half to win the match.... Motm Rodrigo again and again. With the news that Sicula had lost we are now up to 3rd just 2 points behind the leaders.

4ths lost 1-0. They scored early on and we pushed to get back on terms but our dominance amounted to nothing as it remained 1-0 at the final whistle.

Vets 1 got a creditable draw away against Ambiance. 1-1 at the break new keeper Paul making his debut pulled off a number of fine saves in the 2nd half  to keep us in it.  There were chances for both teams but there was no more scoring and it ended 1-1.

Vets2 lost 2-1 against 3rd in the league Copains Reunis, great first half performance, very tight and intense game. Two soft goals got Copains two up before Jorg scored. Opposition provably edged it, but a point was certainly possible. Good performance all around.

Ladies 1 were 3-2 up at half time against White Star in a tough first half.. The Ladies then stepped up in the second half and took full control of the game, scoring 2 more goals to complete a perfect series of 7 victories of 7 matches.

Ladies 2 faced Brainois with a lot of fighting spirit on the pitch. The two teams wanted to win this match and the two teams didn't let it go. Ladies 2 believed in it until the end and it ended in a 0-0 well played by both teams.

1sts and 2nds on fire again as they win well at Nossegem (14/10/2017) Sticky

Firsts won 3-0. Goals from Cillian, great free kick, Karim & Nick. Played very well in patches, opposition lost their  discipline & ended with 9. Could have won by more.

MOTM Nair - 2nd week in a row.

2nds started very brightly and went 2 0 up after only 10 minutes. Opposition came more into the game and had chances but Antonio made a number of impressive saves. Nerves were settled 10 minutes from the end when Sean broke through and dinked a nice shot over the oncoming keeper. 3 0 final score and still on top of the division.

MOTM Lewis

3rds won 4-1....  Ionut x2, Youssef and Bruno...  Very collective match and nice to watch....  After several difficult games, we produced a very great match with some nice moves ...  A strong team spirit is the cherry on the cake...  Perfect week-end...  MOTM was Villu for his impressive defense each time, hard to play against   the Estonian golgoth.

4ths lost 0-3. Red card after 20'. Penalty stopped by Matteo after 5'. 0-0 at half-time. Pressing and a team getting tired made the job for the others. Remaining feeling is that team work was not sufficient though.

Vital game for vets1. They scored first, but we managed to reverse the situation with 3 nice goals by emanuel, MoTM ben and enzo. First victory of the season and looking forward for the second one

Ladies 1 played late on Saturday evening and won easily 9-1 against St Michel. Not a brilliant performance - it is hard to remain always focused in such an unbalanced league - but with these points we're now top of the table alone.

Ladies 2 game was postponed until December 16.

1sts up to 2nd after last gasp win (Games 7/10/2017) Sticky

1sts played well in Nekkerspoel. Bit hesitant at times. Missed two one on one's & had one cleared off the line in the first half. Had all the ball. Two offsides against us which weren't & with 5 to go they had a huge chance that went narrowly wide. Cue Karim with 2 to go, a mid air sideways scissors kick to from the edge of the box after brilliant work by Nair on the left. Just about deserved it & a great win against worthy opponents. On to next week & a huge test v Lxg. MOTM Nair.

Jefke beat Brussels British so now we're 2nd

2nds drew 3-3.  0-1 down then 1-1 then 1-2 then 3-2 then 3-3. We completely dominated but they had tough strikers. We fought well and with a little bit more of stamina and strength we should have won. We were so much better but we made 3 mistakes only in the whole game creating 3 goals

3rds drew 1-1. Almost got the winner in last ten minutes but it hit the post and trickled along the line. Rodrigo with the goal and MOTM, AJ hit the post. Good team effort in blustery conditions and a couple of notable saves by François to keep us in it. Next week, we WIN!!! Thanks for the support from the 1sts.

4ths have fought well in a very tight game. 1-1 until the 10 last minutes. And then the goals came in a 4-1 win. 1st of the season !! Manuel with 2 goals

Vets1 4-0 down at half time in a one direction game. 5-1 final score missing 3 clear chances and hitting the post

Vets 2 lost 7-1. Game was quite even in 1st half until we gifted them the 1st goal after a defensive blunder. They scored a second just before the break so 2 - 0 down at half time. We pulled one back through Osacar after about  10 minutes and looked for the equaliser but they scored quickly again to make it 3-1 and then ran in 4 more from breakaways.

Ladies 1 were up against a tough opponent when they faced Ottignies at home. We started well and after 20 minutes Isa opened the scoring from a cross from Olivia. We added 2 more goals and were worthy winners. Final score 3- 0.

Ladies 2 did not have a game  as their opponents forfeited.
